KyuluxがOPERAのキックオフミーティング2018に参加しました On April 9th, Kyushu University’s OPERA center held its annual collaboration group kick off meeting. The four research groups (OPERA, i3-OPERA, ISIT and Kyulux) got together and discussed the latest research and strategies going forward. There were over 100 participants in this exciting meeting, we’re looking forward to another exciting year of close collaboration with our friends at OPERA and i3-OPERA.

Join the Kyulux team! Kyulux is growing, and we are currently looking for three materials scientists. All three openings are for our Fukuoka office. Engineer-Device: Support the development of new OLED materials. Metrology-Device: Testing and Fabrication of OLED devices, preparation and execution of material and device experiments and characterizations. Scientist-Device: Work with synthetic chemists and computational chemists to design new material targets, improve OLED devices testing, fabrication and analysis, collaborate with research institutes and organic electronics partners. Kyuluxがnano tech 2018に出展しました

Kyuluxがnano tech 2018に出展しました Earlier this month, on February 14-16, Tokyo Big Sight hosted the nano tech 2018 exhibition and conference. This large international trade show attracted more than 44,000 visitors. Kyulux participated in nano tech 2018, as part of the OPACK (Organization for Promotion Academic city by Kyushu University) zone, which also included OPERA, i3-OPERA, ISIT, AiRIMaq and others. This is the third year we have participated in this event, and this time Kyulux’s product planning manager Hidetoshi Fujimura gave a short talk and introduced Kyulux and our technology as part of the “Seeds and Needs Seminar”.

KyuluxがSID Display Week 2018に出展します Display Week 2018, SID’s international display conference, is the premier event for the global display industry. The 2018 DisplayWeek will take place on May 20-25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, CA, US. Thousands of display professionals attend this event, and it is a great place to learn about new display technologies and meet the industry. Kyuluxが経営体制の変更を発表しました Kyulux has announced recent management changes and our new CEO is now former CTO Junji Adachi. Mr. Adachi, a co-founder of Kyulux, is an experienced engineer and manager with 30+ years of industry experience developing organic solar cells and commercializing residential fuel cell systems at Panasonic. Mr. Adachi has extensive experience incubating and collaborating with materials startups; He holds a B.Sc. from Osaka University and was a visiting Researcher at M.I.T. Kyulux’s new CTO is Hisashi Okada, who holds a master of science from Nagoya University and was previously Kyulux’s manager of both the R&D and IP departments. Hyperfluorescence™の狭スペクトルはTADFとPHOLEDsよりも高効率を実現します The first-generation OLED emitter systems, based on fluorescence, lack efficiency as only about 25% of the energy is converted into light. More advanced systems, based on phosphorescence (PHOLED), TADF and our own Hyperfluorescence (HF) technology all manage to convert almost 100% of the energy into light, and so it is mistakenly perceived that such systems all offer the same efficiency. The reality, however, is that Kyulux’s HF systems offer an inherent advantage that enables it to provide the most efficient OLED emitters of all four generations. KyuluxがCEATEC JAPAN 2017に出展します Next month Makuhari Messe outside of Tokyo will host Japan’s largest electronic exhibition and conference, CEATEC 2017. We will exhibit our Hyperfluorescence displays (and will include Wisechip’s HF PMOLED demonstration at our booth) during the event, and our CTO, Mr. Junji Adachi will give a presentation titled “Kyulux – Materializing the future of OLEDs with Hyperfluoresence, the optimum solution for OLED Display”. The presentation will be given twice on October 3rd and 5th, at 11:00 am. CEATEC draws over 130,000 visitors each year and over 600 exhibitors. KyuluxのHyperfluorescence™ TADF Workshop2017にてWisechipがデモンストレーションを行います In July 2017, Wisechip and Kyulux announced a collaboration to bring Hyperfluorescence-based PMOLED displays to the market – the first such commercial display ever. Kyulux’s Hyperfluorescence materials enabled wisechip to increase the display’s efficiency by 50% – meaning that the next generation PMOLED displays will draw half the power of current generation ones. Wisechip demonstrated a yellow PMOLED device that featured a lifetime of over 30,000 hours (LT50) and an EQE of 14.6%, while still maintaining high color purity. TADF Workshop 2017を終えて

TADF Workshop 2017を終えて Towards the end of July, the city of Fukuoka, where Kyushu University is located, hosted the 2nd international TADF Workshop. It was an excellent conference – with a larger turnout than expected – which we were proud to sponsor. The event was a great combination of industrial lectures (from BOE, JDI, Dow Chemical, Kyulux and Wisechip) and in-depth academic and technical presentations from all over the world. It is clear that TADF emitters are exciting researchers and developers as these new materials are now set to enter the market in actual OLED displays. Wisechip Hyperfluoresence™ PMOLEDを公開

Wisechip Hyperfluoresence™ PMOLEDを公開 During the 2nd international TADF Workshop, Wisechip demonstrated the world’s first Hyperfluoresence based OLED display, a yellow monochrome PMOLED that draws half the power compared to Wisechip’s current fluorescence PMOLED displays. The demonstrated display was a 0.96″ 128×64 monochrome (yellow) PMOLED. The EQE of the HF model is 14.5% compared to only 7.1% in the fluorescence display. We have now published the video above that very nicely shows the display in action and the whole demonstration – even though it is quite difficult to see just how brighter the HF display is.
