Fukuoka, Japan, October 17, 2019 – Kyulux Inc., a world leader in the development of the next generation of organic light emitting diode (OLED) Hyperfluorescence™/TADF technology, announced that WiseChip launches world’s first commercial Hyperfluorescence™ OLED display – based on materials by Kyulux.
WiseChip Semiconductor, Taiwan-based PMOLED display solutions provider, launched a novel Hyperfluorescence™ OLED product – a 2.7″ yellow PMOLED display that uses 4th generation Hyperfluorescence™ OLED light emission technology by Kyulux. This will be the first product using the new generation of organic compounds in a commercial display.
Kyulux, supplier of Hyperfluorescence™/TADF materials, has been collaborating with WiseChip since 2016. Kyulux‘s fourth-generation Hyperfluorescence™ OLED light-emitting technology is attracting attention as the ultimate light-emitting technology that realizes long-lifetime, high-color purity and high-efficiency with excellent cost performance.
By adopting this Hyperfluorescence™ technology, WiseChip managed to create an OLED display with a simple yet highly promising structure. For instance, the 2.7-inch, 128×64 pixel array, yellow type Hyperfluorescence™ OLED can reach up to 220 nits – 2.5 times brighter than using general fluorescence materials. Tuning material parameters can lead to even higher performances. Moreover, using this material also improved the lifetime of the product to more than 50,000 hours.
WiseChip is already looking into mass production of these Hyperfluorescence™ OLED displays.
